Changing your twitter profile picture
May 9th, 2009 Posted by Missie at 5:12 pm

I’m a brown box with blue eyes! When you first create your account, twitter gives you the ‘brown box, blue eye’s’ default profile picture. But changing this picture is the first thing most people do to give their account personality. Changing your picture will give your profile an instant make over and your follows will be happy to have a picture that relates to you.
Your picture can be up to 700k, and twitter supports JPG, and PNG formats.GIF format isn’t supported by twitter.
To change the default picture, simply;
1. Select the ‘account settings’ tab in the top right navigational bar of your twitter page.
2. Click the 5th tab along called ‘picture’.
3. Click ‘browse’ to select the picture you want to upload.
4. Click ’save’ at the bottom on the tab.

Hey Maheen,
Have you tried using a smaller sized picture? If your picture is too big, you might not be able to see what is actually in the picture and just see the edges from Twitter cropping it. You could also be experiencing this issue as your file size is over the set limit of 700k. The file also much be a JPG, PNG or GIF.
If you’re still have issues once you’ve tried the above, let us know. We’re happy to help you.
