Increase Your Twitter Productivity

Being a twitter fanatic can take over your life. Even tweeting from the toilet has changed the way we (or some twitter fanatics) live our lives around twitter. But there are things that you can do to increase your productivity on twitter which mean more time for you to do the other things in life that you enjoy. Rather than positing directly to twitter’s web interface, we’ve composed a list of ways you can become more efficient with using twitter, just by tweeting from your web browser.

Tweet even faster
Using twitter based API’s can have a dramatic effect on increasing your twitter productivity. Using an API such as Twitlet, you can tweet just by hitting a bookmark on your browser.
It’s a simple bookmark that opens a window where you tweet from. Even better, it’s free, no sign up or installation required and now browser extensions! Love it!
Tweet URLs and enter contests at the same time
Like other API’s, TwitThis automatically puts the URL which you’re currently browsing into your tweet and shortens it for you. It’s one of the best out there and even allows your to enter contests as well… who said tweeting and winning prizes all at the same time wasn’t the best thing ever invented??
Tweet from you Firefox address bar
Twitterbar (One of our favourite Firefox add-ons) is a Firefox browser add-on that allows you to tweet from your address bar. It’s as simple as typing in your tweet into the address bar and pressing the tweet button. It’s super easy for tweeting URL’s…
Integrate Twitter into your Firefox sidebar
The wonder tool Twitbin, allows users to do absolutely anything Twitter-related (send/receive updates, messages etc.) right from the Firefox sidebar. This doesn’t help you if you’re a twitter fanatic. It supports the addicted (we know first hand!)
Share links and track them on Twitter
Bit.ly sidebar allows you to post links to Twitter, Facebook, and Gmail, while also tracking a bit.ly link, allowing you to see how popular a link is and see how many clicks the link gets. There are plenty of twitter API’s are out there that support this functionality, but from experience, Bit.ly is one of the best going. It even allows you to track and read all existing twitter and friendfeed conversations surrounding the link you’re sharing.
