Sharing your videos on twitter

As twitter doesn’t provide the platform to post picture, music and videos too, a string of third party clients, websites and applications have opened up the world of media sharing on twitter.

There are a number of useful ways to share video on Twitter and it’s a simple quick, no brainer way to tweet your content out to your Twitter network. To help you get started on your twitter video sharing ways, we’ve sourced out the best video services that you can use to upload and share your videos to twitter.

TwitVid

TwitVid, the video version for the popular photo sharing website, TwitPic, is a new Twitter video sharing website that supports upload via Web, email to u@twitvid.io, and eventually webcam. It’s one of the simplist video sharing websites going, simply login using your twitter account details, select your video file (it supports up to 1 GB or 20min of footage), enter your 117 characters or less and hit tweet! TwitVid displays all the tweets that mention a particular video on Twitter right on the video page, something that TwitPic can’t match. You can also retweet, share, like, and reply to videos on site.

Tweetube

Tweetube was created initially as a way to share you YouTube Videos, but as it grew increasingly with popularity, it developed to include a desktop client for Macs - Tweetube for MAC OSX started creating video via webcam to share with twitter. The downside to Tweetube is the only way you can share video on twitter is by YouTube URL or desktop webcam recordings, which happen to be limited to 25 seconds in length. However, as the demand for video sharing on twitter increases, we could see Tweetube grow to a substantial and popular video sharing mechanism.

Twiddeo

Twiddeo is a hidden treasure to sharing videos on twitter. It’s design and visual appeal can put most people off, with the lack of functionality sparse. But with saying this, Twiddeo is a viable option ot sharing videos on twitter. You can upload, share, email or record via your webcam your videos that you can instantly share on twitter.

Twitc is not the most immediate way to share videos with Twitter, but it does come with some extras that might make the additional steps worthwhile. With Twitc, not only can you update your Twitter status (no video or image required), but you can search, comment, favorite, and check out the most viewed, highest rated, or just plain random content on the site.

But with all great services, it doesn’t miss your hip pocket. Twitc will cost you, but the little extras that the other miss might intense you to part with your hard earned money.

twitLENS

twitLENS is another great dual purpose tool that handles both video and image sharing via Twitter. It supports multiple uploads at one time and also supports videos to 50 MB (a little less than others, but still substantial), uploads from mobiles and comments.

There’s a few great features that make twitLENS stand out from the rest. A. It’s the only application here that can support OAuth for secure login and B. it’s easy to tag people in photo’s and videos using their twitter names. Those people that you do tag, will get a tweet from you, letting them know that they are in your photo or video content on twitLENS.
