There have been many before us who have posted about twitter tips, there are even websites dedicated to it… so what’s different with our post? Well not only is our twitter tips list the ultimate, we have actually tweeted every single one tip that makes up our ultimate twitter tip guide. Since day one, @tweeterland’s (:D) been tweeting twitter tips since the very first tweet, helping other twitter fanatics like us get the tips they need to make the most of their time on twitter, enjoy the environment, people and every tweet. 

Over a two part series, we’re bringing you our ultimate twitter tip guide. 

• Think before you tweet. 140 characters have the power to help, heal or be miss-understood.
• Help others out, before u can receive retweets, help others first by retweeting their messages. You’ll be getting RT in no time!
• Have a blog? Then post to Twitter when you have a post that will interest your niche. Twitter is really a vital part of web 2.0.
• Pick a Good Desktop Client such as such as TweetDeck, Twhirl, and TwitterFox to easily manage you tweets and friends.
• Interact and communicate with others - it’s a social media tool, so be social!
• Share links, ideas, ask questions, answer questions - anything but “what are you doing?” unless it’s really interesting!
• Don’t follow more people than you can. If you’ve got too much going on, you’ll miss a lot of good stuff.. enjoy every tweet!
• Respect the people you follow. Be interesting. Listen first, tweat second. Don’t waste words.
• Look beyond the obvious (traffic, sales etc.) add value. Build relationships. Think LONG term.
• Use twitterfeed. Instant feedback from readers is the best part of Twitter. Listen to others; engage them; have a conversation.
• Contribute positively to conversations going on inside twitter.
• Providing your followers with something original and useful is one way to stand out from the crowd and get noticed on Twitter.
• Twitter about stuff that has to do with your blog, but also Twitter stuff that has nothing to do with your blog.
• Stop thinking that twitter is pointless and just try it. It’s all about community - reach out and be a part of it.
• Don’t just write about anything - remember that every tweet u make can take u closer to or further away from your Twitter goals
• Be active. Your Tweets are your best advertisement for people to follow you - if you don’t, people won’t know to follow you.
• Don’t be in a rush to follow as many people as you can. You will build a solid base of followers with good tweets.
