This is part 2 of our Ultimate Twitter Tip Guide. Part 2 expands on Part 1, outlining even more twitter tips that can help you get the tips you need to make the most of your time on twitter, enjoy the environment, people and every tweet.

Why a Ultimate Twitter Tip Guide?

There have been many before us who have posted about twitter tips, there are even websites dedicated to it… so what’s different with our post? Well not only is our twitter tips list the ultimate, we have actually tweeted every single one tip that makes up our ultimate twitter tip guide. Since day one, @tweeterland’s (:D) been tweeting twitter tips since the very first tweet, helping other twitter fanatics like us get the tips they need to make the most of their time on twitter, enjoy the environment, people and every tweet.

• Write each word like it matters, because it does.
• Use twitter on a personal level to share what you’re doing with real life friends and family, it will do wonders in life.
• Take a day off of tweeting & just watch the stream go by. Notice people. Who catches ur eye? Who & what do to pay attention to?
• Have a lot of friends on twitter? Then take it to another level. Ask for their messenger & talk to people on a more intimate level.
• Don’t follow more people than you can. If you’ve got too much going on, you’ll miss a lot of good stuff.. enjoy every tweet!
• Take time to read other people’s tweets, there’s always something you could comment on (i.e. movies, news, music)
• When u find something that’s worth repeating. Not only r u spreading good things but ur username comes up more often too
• If u tweet something that u hope others will RT, make sure u leave enough characters for that. It’s super helpful!
• Use DM if there’s no reason for the world to see what u’re saying to a specific person. DM is a handy tool, use it!
• Remember that ANYTHING u say online stays forever somewhere, so be sure to tweet what you’re happy to read forever.
• Use http:// before a URL so it makes a clickable link. Or better yet, use a Tiny URL option to save space.
• Do searches with keywords that interest u. Then take time to see what they’re talking about and if u want to follow them.
• Learn how to have a conversation with people. Use Twitter to practice talking with people rather than random things
• If u know people that have something in common, do a tweet with both usernames so they can meet & find more friends
• Even though it’s fun to change ur profile picture, keeping it the same helps people recognize and find you faster.
• Follow colleagues in related companies & follow relevant brands & pundits in ur market, even those who compete with u.
• Build ur brand, build relationships & don’t underestimate the power of keywords on ur website for twitter.
• Contribute positively to conversations going on inside twitter.
